The lady in New Zealand is thrilled & I am actually as pleased as if it WAS my own family.

Back in the autumn I was contacted by a lady in New Zealand whose ancestor was with the British army in Menorca in the 1700s. She asked me if I could take some photos & if possible, find information about him.
Went to the place where he had lived & took the photos & while there, was put in touch with a local policeman who is also a historian for the town.
He promised to sort out some info & e mail it to me.
Heard nothing & had almost given up hope.
Then yesterday, got a phone call from the town hall who said that the chap had asked them to scan the info & send it to me, but as there was rather a lot, she thought it would be better for her to send it in the post.
No charge!!!
Just wish the info was for my family.
