It's awful when you get yourself geared up for an op or procedure then it's cancelled or postponed. I had it happen to me years back, had booked time off work to cover op and recovery time and then got a call the day before going in to say the date had been changed to a fortnight later.
To have things go wrong as they did for you Jean is a disgrace and I hope you get a proper apology at least.
Good luck for the scan when the time comes round, it's a long way ahead.

Gwyn, I think I would have been so glad I didn't need the op I would have forgiven everything lol

Jean
That is so annoying and also costly to the NHS who wasted time and money.

In September I had a pre-op. assessment, then went in a few days later for the small op. which was to be under anaesthetic.
Only when I'd sat gowned and labeled for over 3 hours did the surgeon finally view my notes and decide he didn't think the operation was needed.
I wonder how much my visit cost?

Very inefficient Jean, what a nuisance for you.

My scan has had to be postponed till February 17th, as the medication sent to me that I needed to take before hand was short by three bottles, and by the time i realised it and informed the radiology dept, it was too late to get it to me so that I could take it before the scan that was booked for tomorrow! You dont expect those kind of mistakes and dont look for them. I will in future!
