Whether you have cancer, or not.

if you were going to a cancer support group for the first time what 4 Questions would you ask?

I hope to start a Support Group at our church, and these answers would help me.
Many thanks
helen.

I would ask
why people are not warned the chemo can cause massive heart attacks
yet the other side affects are in the leaflets

why does it take so long to get the right treatment
wasting valuable time

why people are not given more support at home after treatment
if your terminal your on your own when you get home
most of the time

why the DPWP put cancer patiants on work related activity's
when they have a limited life span and on oxygen machines ect

I had no idea that chemo could cause heart attacks
How did you find that out. I had chemo but no-one ever told me that.

And you are so right about not getting support once you get home
I have had cancer 4 times and not been at all impressed with aftercare, or lack of it I should say.

take care xx
