Both hubby and i have bad backs and I bought a memory foam topper a couple of years back. The first chiro appointment about a month after we got it both chiropractors asked each of us what we had been doing cos our backs were in the best condition they had known for us. I told my chiropractor we had got a memory foam topper and she was impressed Said she was thinking of getting one herself for her own back problem.!!

Can honestly say we both get a good night's sleep and dont find it makes you too hot, also I dont get up with an aching back anymore.

Its still in good shape and bounces back even though neither of us are exactly slim Jims!! lol

I don't have a topper I have the mattress ...and where before I'd wake up 6/7 times in the night with back pain...now with the memory foam mattress I sleep right through pain free.

Can't recommend them highly enough. I'd never go back to a standard mattress again x

One thing to note is, if you get a topper make sure you get the deepest fitted sheets you can. cheap sheets don't have much depth to the fitted sides which can cause them to 'ride' up and become unfitted.

My mum brought my 2 children one each & they are feathered .....My son hates his, so it sits under his mattress & my daughter loves hers.

LOL Ann inGlos
you are so right about the sheets .. i bought a fitted sheet from a market a
little while ago it was only £3.0.0. but i thought o.k. it'll do a turn .
put it on the bed and it kept riding up and it didn't matter how many times i pulled it down up it came again ...so now it's cut up for dusters lol

Ann & Hazel,

John Lewis do excellent deep fitted sheets and are reasonably priced. (Our mattress + memory foam topper is fully covered by the deep sided sheets.)

Hi
i have never chatted before but I have a memory foam mattress and it was well worth the money we spent, hope that I have not overstepped the mark
by giving my opinion, TK Max is also great for sheets.

We dont use fitted sheets but I always buy good sized ones, dont forget cotton ones shrink eventually. We have a memory foam bed, and our cat loves it, makes her own little nest at the foot! I think ours was not of the best as it has dips in it which show where we lie, but it is very comfortable.
