Thanks Christine and Shane,
I have tried all of your suggestions without success. The link from the Genes email only took me to my contacts where it was showing no permission had been given??? I had already sent six emails, none of which asked for permission to view the tree, just along the lines you mention Shane - do we have someone in common, explained who I was etc. etc. You can see why I was excited when I received the email from Genes!
Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Thanks again,
Margaret

Are you sure you're not able to view her tree?

Try clicking on the link in the email which should take you straight to the tree.

Hi, Looking for advice from members. I recently received an email from Genes saying I had received permission to view a members tree. I was very excited as I had been trying to contact this member for 2 years. However when I logged into Genes, I could not view the tree. I sent another request to the member and received a reply saying I was "very demanding", despite the fact I had already sent six messages over the past 2 years. I thought Genes was all about sharing information? Should I give up or persist hoping to catch her at a weak moment?
Thanks for any advice,
Margaret
