I don't think that HotMatches have run fully since GR announced that they were planning to introduce the POB into the match criteria.

Having been involved with Name and Address matching programs in a professional capacity I suspect that it is proving to be quite a challenge, not least the huge amount of computing power that is needed as soon as you start adding additional matching criteria.

In any event, the process only matches a small number of your names each time it runs, so it can take several matching cycles before you can get any result. There is also the point that you may have very few matches in the first place - they can't just be magiced out of thin air.

I havnt had a hot match since the system changed despite updating my tree.

Maybe once new people join and start researching their trees we may have some luck Eddie

I had a "super hot match" in my mail this morning. Apparently I have three people in my tree that matches somebody else here at genes.
Unfortunately the link to their tree did n't work.
I suspect this may have been because none of the three people in their tree are actually in my tree.
Some things never change.
