How do I close a thread which I started some time ago but is now no longer relevant

Based on the above you will gather that you can't actually close a thread.

The two options are:-

1. Delete it altogether
2. Change the title, but leave it intact in case anyone want to refer back to it

The third option, which in reality is what most people do is:-

Do Nothing.....!
