Hi , I wonder if anyone has any idea and can give me a reason why I,ve come across following situation.
I was looking for a marriage in 1911,put in the ladies name wrote down vol&page no,s then looked for the man.Lo & behold I found 2 men with same Vol & page no as the lady.Same year and time of year????
Anyone got any ideas as to how this can happen?????

There are 4 names logged for each same volume and page number in the same quarter, on the GRO index.
Easiest way to find matches before about 1940 is to look on freebmd and if you find a likely match, click the page number to find who is listed on the same page.

EDIT
By looking for later births after the marriage, it is often possible to work out who married who.
In earlier years finding the people in census records can suggest a likely match, which can be confirmed with certificate.

Mabel Alice Kate Brookes ater part of 1911.the 2 men I found with same stuff was a Henry Cook which is the most likely one as Cook is surname I,m looking for.The other was a chap CalledGeorge Parker I think.She is on Harry Cooks WW1 records as his wife and it gave where they married etc but I cant find a Harry only a Henry.I,m told that sometimes Harrys is used instead of Henry.But in all family records hes known as Harry...
