Travel insurance for older people

Anyone having trouble getting Travel insurance because of age or medical conditions might like to look at LV. They have lifted restrictions on age.

LV= will also insure travellers with a wide range of medical conditions, some of which will carry just a minor or no increase in cost. Travellers with medical conditions do not need to go through an in-depth medical examination, rather they are just required to fill in an easy to use form online or speak to one of LV=’s customer service representatives.

Hi, we used to have the insurance from the travel agent
and because were over 60/65 yrs old our insurance was always dearer .
But what we didn't realize was that we already had insurance with our bank . So now we use that instead of the travel agents insurance.

Hazel we had insurance through bank and always used it for years but it ceased at 70yrs. Mind you I cannot travel now so does not matter, but be careful. Make sure you have the copy of the policy - I had to ask for it and updated it every couple of years.

Hi Chris ,
yes we were in the bank just about a week ago and we were talking about holidays and insurance and OH said that we had got ours with them and they said fine ,as long as we have the number that they gave us (which we have ) and we do have the copy policy as well .
