WE'VE WON! The government has just confirmed they're totally scrapping the forest sell-off. The phoney consultation has been cancelled. The sinister legal changes to pave the way for privatisation have been dropped.

We did this together. Next time someone tries to tell any of us that signing petitions or emailing our MPs doesn’t work, we’ll know exactly what to say: “People power does work. Just look at the Save Our Forests campaign”.

Over half a million of us can feel very proud of what we've achieved together today.

Isn't it wonderful Ann! My MP even replied to my email! I do believe in the power of the people but am saddened when I think of the demonstration I joined against the war in Iraq. That one didn't work. XX

I suppose they can't all work and you were up against politics in a big way then. Shame it didn't work though. yes my MP replied to me to explain why it had not been necessary for him to be there to vote!!!

People Power does work sometimes..
My MP hasn't had the courtesy to reply to my email..

Lets start one for the NHS cos that is going to be mucked up if David Cameron and the rest of the coalition get their own way by giving the money to the Doctors.

It will be a two tier system .
