Bristol - Dudley connection; 1800s or earlier

I have a general question about any links (perhaps in the mining industry) between the Dudley/West Bromwich area and south Gloucestershire area (more specifically SE of Bristol) around 1810.

I ask because a number of my family moved from the Kingswood/Bitton area in S Gloucester to Brierley Hill over the period ~1815 - 1830 (and possibly earlier).

Thanks

Just a possibility. You could have a look at the glassmaking industry which was very strong in the Black Country generally at that time & I believe there was also a glassmaking industry in the Bristol area.
