If you get the death cert as advised, it will hopefully give a clue to the 'Order' to which she belonged, a couple of years back there was a similar query on the boards which I googled and found contact details for the records of that particular order of nuns. You may well be able to do the same.

I have just read this and wonder what evidence you have that your ancestor became a Nun and why you think she went to the Kent/Sussex borders.?

I would imagine that there would be a listing of convents in old telephone books and in local libraries. does this mean that your ancestor was RC? If so some of the Churches may be able to help.

i just hope i can get a bit of help, the site has been great in finding my family history but i have come up to a brick wall.
THE PERSON IS Eleen Potten born 1899 on the 1911 census she is 12 and living in the east end but we are sure after that date she went to kent/sussex boarders and became a Nun i can't find any other info or sites to look at can any one help
