Tracing an adopted aunt

You need someone in Scotland..to check births to your Grandmother's name..maybe you can do it on-line but you cannot see the info..you have to order it.

You have your father's birth certificate which will give your grandmother's birth name.

If you then look up her birth you will get her parents' names and the date of their marriage..that is how you go backwards in time.

Hi

Just a quick query as any one any idea how I can trace an adopted auntie ... I have discovered my grandmother had a daughter in 1930 in scotland ,,, who was given away for adoption ... my dad discovered this just befor he died ... I am very curios to find out what happened to her ... and also I am having problems tracing my dads side of the family as he was born in scotland .... any one any ideas where I can start thanx karen
