I am looking to find out the parents of my great great grandfather. Now I know his date of birth and year of death and I found he put his birth place as brandon in county durham. I have looked in the census records and think I have found him and his parents as there was lots of john applebys 6 yrs old in 1871 BUT only one John Appleby on the record with the birth place listed as durham. Do you think I could be going off in the wrong direction or will this be right? |
