Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 23 Feb 2011 23:46

We have a step grandson who is nearly 10 but has a chromosome abnormality that gives him autistic type problems. He is a lovely boy but is only just finding his voice vocabulary but will always be special needs, he still soils himself so has to wear incontinence pull ups. HE has the mental age of c 4/5
We took him out to one of those activity centres that have under five areas with plastic cars things etc.He loved it but thought once he had bagged HIS car it was his!!, He came out to tell me and then went back in to get into HIS car only to find a BIG bully of a kid trying to fight him for possesion . He got very upset but the mum of the other kid got very aggresive too . It took one of the official helpers to tell her to back off!!

~~~~~~~ to Uzzi and Robin. Don't think Uzzi needs any help with one-liners, Robin - she's an expert lady ;-)
They are not uneducated Uzzi ............. they are just ignorant.
There is a distinction between the two.
I suspect that, like me, you would enjoy highlighting such ignorance ............. you just have to go for it.
Let me know if you need any help with some one-liners
Let me tell you about my IVF experience and the uneducated
I was in London, Ealing if you wish to know and I was doing blood test 4 times a day awaiting egg collection. It was summer and hot
I got back to Ealing one afternoon and got on the bus to my dads in Hanwell when some biddy saw my arms and announced to the whole bus that druggies shouldn't be allowed to travel ... I kept quiet only because I was trying not to cry but I got off the bus and as I did I left my IVFappointment card in her hand.
It might not have taught her not to judge but it did teach me !!
and how wrong they can be.
I have always bugbeared about what what said to me during my IVF.
but recently I have huge scratches down my arm ..yeah they are nasty .
They are from my mutt trying to get away from the vet pulled me against a fence and that fence took half my skin off. The looks I get from people even here is amusing (specially since I own up to nasty mutts!) But they couldn't have done the 3 scratches equal apart for 4inches.
Since it has happened I have listened to
well you know she's on drugs
she can't control them dogs
those dogs should b put down
well can you blame the dogs
How amusing really and how annoying that all the comments I understood were therefore English.
