ahhh, they sound quite a sensible idea. I've never used them before but am thinking of using them next time we go abroad.

Have a look at these sites, they all say don't use an internet cafe to do your online banking:

Again another thought (don't know the answer).....would your bank details be 100% safe if you used an internet cafe? Again it may be worth googling.

Also Julie, think about what would happen if your laptop was broken or stolen? (not trying to put you off by the way) Would you have everything on it backed up at home? If it was stolen would the info on it be secure?

Julie
We have been looking at hotels in the USA and many offer free Wifi.
Just make sure your insurance includes your laptop.
Take care

Julie, it may be worth googling to find out more about internet access in the area or emailing the hotel you're staying at to find out the fees. Have a lovely holiday in May :)

Julie,
Why would you want to take a computer on holiday with you.?
I thought having a holiday is to get away from all the hum drum and relax, no distraction and have a good time.
Not trying to be rude, just asking.

Julie
I went to the local pub that had free internet.
Cup of coffee or lunch and could access internet.
Before I had my laptop I used to go to the local library and log on for an hour.
I'm talking about the UK of course.
I phone is better of course.
