The inner bit of glass on my oven is in a slot and I just need to lift it out.The last one I had you had to unscrew the glass .
The oven cleaning job must have to be the worst job !!!!.I HATE IT !!!

Thanks ladies....Have just looked at instructions and it does show how to remove.I tentatively tried but then I was afraid I might not get it back, and as OH can't do anything I think I'll wait till my grandsons come as don't want to be without my oven if I can't do it!...It is an AEG about 6 years old.

Our inner door just lifts straight out. You pull it upwards out of the grooves it sits in.

Brenda

Mine is exactly the same..... a grease run, right in the centre. I know the door comes off and the inner glass slides out for cleaning. My son has shown me how to do this loads of times. Can I get my head around it?... can I heck!!. Waiting for son to come and visit so her can show me yet again.

It's a bit like C&P - I can't do that either despite numerous people showing me how. Must write it down.

I blame it on my age, as usual. lol

Brenda ,
i have a Hotpoint oven and the door just unclips so i can take it off then the inside glass just slips off so that i can clean it .
But if yours doesn't come off i dont know what you would do .

Hi Brenda

Mine has the same sort of glass door........if you check the instructions that came with the cooker it should tell you how to separate the 2 doors for cleaning. It's been a long time since I did mine......but I remember it being easy to separate and reassemble. LOL

Cleaned my oven overnight Fri with Oven Pride.the one with the bag you put racks in...absolutely brilliant....Oven like new and so easy,but...how do I get inside the glass front. The inner glass is open at the bottom and I have a streak down it on the inside.Other than tying something to some bendy wire and trying to clean it that way?or...does anyone know of a tool or some other way of getting it absolutely showroom condition.
Pity I now have to go and get the Sunday roast in!!
