I have only just got back on my laptop since 5pm.It came up that i had 38 virus's on my computer.It did me a scan and not by my McAfee security.After it scanned it then asked me to pay a sum of money to get rid of the virus's.I tried to put McAfee security on to scan but it had blocked the whole of my computer.It had taken over my screen with dark blue background and big red letters telling me a Warning all all the virus's that i was affected with.Was going to take it to shop tomorrow.Took battery out and after half a hour put battery in and started it up and all working perfect now.Done a McAfee scan and nothing found.At the time that it came up i was on Friends Reunited? I had exactly the same one yesterday, Grannie - whole screen blue with WARNING! YOU'RE IN DANGER! YOU'RE COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH SPYWARE! in red letters. Next a box that tells me that I have 38 infections. It's happened 3 times now. I've checked my AV - all OK, but it's not preventing it - happened again twice to-day. My old man googled how to deal with it, which works for a time, but then it comes back. Glad I'm not the only one - it's never happened before. Gawd almighty, haven't we got enough problems!!!

My anitvirus is up to date

Don't know about anyone else, but when OH got that screen yesterday there was no X to click on and it would not let you run any anti virus or spyware prorgmmes, everytime you tried it came with it's own and asked you buy theirs.

What i did was boot back up in 'Safe Mode' ran AVG, shutdown, ran 'Hitman', each time removing what they found, then today ran 'spybot' , which found another 111 threats but, repeated all that now it's clear..............blooming Ebay or whatever, I just wish the blooming clever boffins would put their skills to good use for once!!

if you feel you need to get cleaned up then I suggest malware bytes

will disinfect and more, go to safe mode ( with internet connections) download the prog, get the latest update a do a scan .....i had a similar thing to what wend describes..........
once you have malwarebytes you only need to scan, it gets its own updates.....

I am now back on old laptop as my new one has got the Warning back on it.I am going to take it to the shop today.On my old laptop it will not let me on Facebook and gives a warning that the sites security certificate has run out? Annie

Thats the same as what has happened to me...i am at the mo using my sons laptop..I haven't tried my PC this moring but am looking to take it to get fixed

My daughter was proper going mad yesterday she also had this blue screen saying she had a viras and could not get in to her laptop

she has update latest viras protecetsion as well so she phoned the comaney and told them no way her protcetion shuold of let this viras in her laptop

any way thay wanted her to pay for them to get rid of it she ask them if thay was haveing a giggle with her and whats the point in paying for protecetion if she has to pay again.

now iv just phoned her to see how she got on and she said thay run some think from there end to her laptop or told her what to do some think like that

well laptop is still the same and not working and her protection company told her this viras can over ride your viras protcetion and even if you run a scan the viras still may not show up

she is now going to take laptop in the shop to see if thay can fix it
ill phone her tonight and see what the shop man said

I have a' PC mechanic' comes up now and again telling me I have 226 problems.Then they want money.
According to Norton and spyware Dr All is well.

I have got 2 quotes today to fix laptop.One was £50 and the other was £85.I now have a man coming round at 6pm to have a look and give me a price. Annie
