I googled "forename meanings" and a list of sites appeared. This is the first one:

You could try looking for forenames as opposed to Christian names.

A little while ago some one posted the name of a good surname website-I think it was called the Internet Surname database,or something similar.

Our 2 best friends are turning 60 this year-I would like to get some information on the meanings of their Christian names and surnames, laminate it,
and give it to them on their birthdays.Finding the surnames one hasn't been a hassle-but all the Christian name sites seem to be either for popular baby's names or have a religious slant, neither is what I want.

Can anyone recommend a good site for the meaning of Anglo Saxon type first names please? I can't remember whether that person did that before-if so, I forgot to bookmark it.

Many thanks.
