In the early nineties I upset an elderly neighbour of mine when I discovered that his soldier niece who was pregnant, married to a soldier and would be staying on in the army after the birth and told him that I considered that wrong especially as the chances of husband and wife being posted together were remote (they were in different regts). |

I feel that they probably would not be planning to stay in the army until they were in their dotage so could, possibly, fully enjoy the experience of being in the army before having children. |
