Today my Mum would be 95 if she was still with us.
She always did her best for us, even if she didn't always get things right.

Thanks Rita, yes, many memories, mostly good ones but some not so good.

Nice ones are the mainly Hemsby holidays, (Lowestoft in a b and b once), her homemade fish and chips and great cakes, helping her choose the Christmas cards for various relatives and me writing the envelopes as she wrote the cards every year... I got to know the addresses off by heart.


It all seems so long ago now. Mum died in May 1995

I miss the phone calls nearly every day... It's only me......


I don't miss being called Elizabeth when I had displeased her, lol!

Thanks Carol, that's a nice verse. I bought some more Lily of the Valley corms the other day at Lidl as I don't seem to have as many as I used to in my tubs.

Bless all our parents who have left us now, one day we will all meet again, I am sure.

Joy, special thoughts for you as you remember your Dad on his birthday.

My Dad would be 100 now but he has been gone 21 years now.
