McB Report 9 Mar 2011 21:50

Last week while shopping in my local s/market digestive biccies were 82p or a bargain pack of two £1.76 !!!!!!!, this week 94p, a six pack of crisps £1, this week £1.48, punnets of blueberrys £1, this week £1.67.
Were being ripped off.

And before someone says don't buy them

I didn't.

I think we are going to see more of this with fuel prices ever rising.

Piece in paper today re 'the big four' playing with prices - putting them up for a couple of weeks and then one of the four lowering them. More of us will be heading to Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons

Your right there McB.........it is a rip off, I for one have stopped going to Tesco for that reason.....they must think us women are mugs.

I have been doing a smaller shop local, then off to the farm shop for fruit & veg where it is much cheaper!

Its like one of our local filling stations......today 1.35L down the road at Morrisons 1.28L

PS........off to M&S on Friday for a couple of meal deals for the weekend.

£20.00 gets you 2 main meals 2 side dishes 2 puddings & 2 bottles of decent plonk!.......hope they have got steak on the main lol

We have a Morrisons close by but I find Tesco have lots of better bargains if you know what you want.

For around £40 on Monday, I stocked up on loads of veg and meat etc to provide enough for all our main meals this week as well as my favourite bagels for breakfast and o.h.'s crumpets, bread and other bits and pieces.

We don't drink so M & S meal deals aren't any good for us, and anyway wouldn't be able to afford wine with many meals, I can get a lot more for my £20

I have noticed some things going up but it's a matter of keeping your eyes open to spot the special offers and stocking up when things are cheap.
