We all have friends, but some you just seem to bond with from day 1. These friends are the ones that know everything about you and don't judge you for it, they are just as likely to be sat with you in that police cell saying "boy we had a good time" . They are there for you as you are them no matter what distance those late night phone calls have to cover.
You know that if you don't speak to them for weeks that they are still there routing for you, caring for you and being your friend. As you are for them.
My friend Kev was one of those. From the very 1st day we met over a bar we laughed with each other and at each other. When our personal relationships changed we applauded each other and lent a hand. K to me more than the other way round.
Even though I moved to Spain those late night phone calls continued. Nothing could spoil that friendship.

Last year my friend was diagnosed with cancer but still we joked on. This time with promises that we will meet up this year when his dreaded chemo was finished.

Sadly yesterday just 3 mths into his 50th year K lost his fight.

There will be no more late night phone calls, but he will always be my friend.

My friend,my buddy, my partner in crime, one of the nicest, most genuine of people that I have ever met
I always loved you and will miss you forever.
