My g.son did mine online for me. He read out the questions & I told him the answers. It came Friday and was completed online the same day.
SIMPLE!!!!

Good job I have a tree for descendents to look at, I was born in the North, married in another part of the UK and will die in the south! Paternal gparents manx and maternal - one scots, one irish.

Even though I have no descendants to pass the form onto, I will be completing the form with as much info as I can. In the first name box I will insert my first and middle name.

The one that gets me every time is the ethnic group. I so want to put World Citizen. As for my partner, what should I put? His Mother is Trinidadian of Asian origin and his Dad is Mauritian of Asian origin.

I'm not too sure what they are hoping to find out from some of the questions.

One of my children was born abroad, because husband's work took us there, so the question re. birthplace is relevant. But when was the last time he entered UK.... 1985, ...what will they gain from these answers?

For those like me who sometimes despair - printed in 57 languages etc., a letter in todays Mail convinced me that things are not as they should, particularly if you name is Smith or Jones/
"so imagine my disbelief when I saw question one and realised they didn't even want my full name. there is no box for middle names.......astonishingly their advice is please enter as much as the space allows"
Which isn.t much.
