Just think how much they would help if thousands of sachets could be made available to all those children starving all over the world.

Liz ,

I thought those peanut food sachets brilliant, even very young/ill children could manage those and no cooking required. Did get OH's wallet so our sub will bring in more - he is all for getting tax back!!!!

Typical, he did his after he topped up his phone so no gift aid with that I think and unless I can get him to call at the post office with my money, they will miss out again. Every penny counts when you see what can be purchased for under a pound, the nutty food sachets for instance.

All the films have been heartbreakingingly sad, but what a great amount has been raised.

Last time the final total was £80 million so hopefully this year it will be even more. I seem to remember last time the mosquito nets were £2 but now they are £5, is that a reasonable price rise or exploitation of the need?

How I wish I had loads of money to send to those who need it. I just wanted to hold some of those children who needed support and give them love, food and the knowledge that someone cared.

Good idea about getting o.h. to pass on my contribution as he too is a tax payer and I am not.

watching Red Nose this evening - I was going to donate anyway - after watching the trek across the desert last night. However when they showed the children suffering from malnutrition and we had come out of Tesco today with a large trolley full for two of us, that was it - I came up here.

However the good news is OH says he will match mine - now it has just dawned on me he is a taxpayer so if it is in his name they will get an extra 25p. per £ donated. Next time he comes upstairs I shall grab his wallet.
