My sister in Florida has had this done a couple of times. The first time she had stents fitted. She was o.k. both times and didn't have to stay in hospital after the second procedure to check on the stents. She had the procedure done in the morning and was out of hospital on the evening of the same day although she had to get a friend to drive her home as she wasn't allowed to drive herself. The first time she was in hospital about 3 days.

Don't worry about it at all ,the surgeon will put your mind at rest straight away.
The proceedure can be a little uncomfortable ,but dosn,t take long.
In the unlikely event that something does go awry ,there is a full team on hand to sort things out.
I had my heart attack many years ago ,went on a few years later to have ,a triple bypass and i am fine now ,apart from getting older ,lol.Fred.

As Fred says, it´s a bit uncomfortable but not painful.
I had it done about 20 years ago. The procedure took about half an hour & the surgeon & his assistant spent the whole time chatting about their holidays in Italy.
How long you stay in depends on how the catheter is introduced. If it´s through your arm you may be discharged within 24 hours. If it´s through the groin, it´s more likely to be 2 or 3 days.
Don´t worry, it will be fine.
Good luck.
