Nicole - I suggest you post your query on "Trying to Find", but give as much information as you can after you have exhausted all ways you know of. There are some good helpers there but they like you to only post on ONE thread so that there is no duplication.

Are your family helping with this Nicole?
Do you have grandparents who might know more.?

It is better to work back from known people, then track each generation back by looking at census and buying certificates.

People will help if you give a few more clues.

Well i found a John Lasserre (birth) in the late 1860s but there was no record of him ever getting married

im trying to find the lasserre family who were my great great grandparents.i think they were french. married in the 1800's
