Could someone please answer what might be a simple question. I am slightly confused. My birth is recorded "Handwitten" on the 1950 record. It is also appears "Typed" on the 1952 record.

it may have been corrected for some reason in 1952 so its been hand recorded in the 1950 record which presume is your actual birth year .

The page nos quoted is S'52 which means look at Sept qtr 1952 for GRO ref to order the cert.

If you quoted S'52 when ordering then the GRO will know where to look for it
