I do occasionally read an article in the DM if someone starts a thread about an article they publish and links to it. I find the comments that accompany the article very revealing.

Janey the lyrics are the headlines interspersed with "It's absolutely true because I read it in the Daily Mail.". Then at the end "It's got to be the case if it's written in the Daily Mail. They never mince their words in the good old Daily Mail. It's absolutely true because I gather all my news from the Daily Mail."

As for lining the cat box with it, I would never pick it up off the shop shelf much less use it for that purpose. I'm sure the cats would be outraged if I did ;-)
