Printing a family tree

Hi, am trying to print a family tree, my own and one I have permission to view. I click on the button on the left hand side of the tree where the slider is that you can go up and down the page and across etc but it doesn't do anyting. Does anyone have any ideas please. Have sent an email to GR but I note it takes a couple of days for them to reply to you. I am a standard member, might that have something to do with not being able to print?

are you able to actually see the tree layout?

I dont think that being a standard member comes into it,
I am and I can get the print preview and print options up ok...

You need to have the full tree displayed then click on the print button which will cause the Print Preview window to open. Then chose your page orientation, scale, page numbers yes or no, then click on Select All if you want the whole tree printed, then click on Print selection. That should cause the tree to print. Has this helped?

I've never printed anything from my GR tree apart from that of a complete stranger not on my contacts.
That was 3 years ago and GR were aware and looking into it !

Tribal pages free tree is the clearest printout plus reports.

For better results please give all the details ,name, date place as you can {pictures by me }

I was simply browsing through the threads when i saw this message. Thank you for making it quite clear the easiest way to print a tree. I shall book mark this for future reference.

Hi, I can see the full tree, I click on full tree and then on the print button that is on the left of the tree below the bar where you can move up and down and left and right and it does nothing. If I use the orinary print button all it prints out is the page of the person that is open in the tree.

Hi all, thanks for all the info, have now managed to print it. I was trying at work and it wouldn't let me so not sure why but am home now and it has printed okay.
