my name is des williams, i recentley found out i was adopted, my dob is 30-10-44, i was registered at birth in lymington in nov 44, my birth name was david gilbert and my birth mothers name is iris mary gilbert (thats her maiden name i think), i think i was adopted about 1 yrs of age, can any one help me trace the family please

David this would be better placed on the Trying to find board. Somebody may help you from here but that board is more dedicated to queries such as yours. Good luck in your search.

David I was adopted in 1957 and I found my birth family through contacting social services. Ring them they are very helpful. The best of luck . If you need to talk to me about anything please e mail me at . [email protected]

Julie, might be a good idea to take your email address off this thread now that David has seen it. You just don't know who might contact you.

Would be a better idea to PM David by clicking on his name, then he will be the only one getting the info.
