I don't know him, but I appear on his tree...

Has anyone had a smiliar experience? Some time ago I noticed that I and several of my close ancestors (father, mother, grandfather and great-grandfather) appeared on someone's tree. I contacted this person several times to ask what their connection was with my family, and if they'd like to share information, but didn't receive any reply. As it's not 'the done thing' to include details of living people on trees without their express permission, how do I find out how this person got hold of my personal details, and how to get them to remove them? Any ideas? I find it very strange that he should be unwilling to reply to a polite request, |

It is on here, but I don't want to have them removed from the site if it's an innocent mistake; I just find it strange and would like to know how they got the information. |

GR are able to remove your details from their tree, especially if it living people that haven't given permission |

It isn't considered to be 'good manners', in the genealogy community, to include details of living people if they themselves haven't given permission. And I don't know this person, or how he related to my tree, so I don't know where he got the details of my relatives from, to be able to add them to his tree. If he is genuinely related, why hasn't he replied to my posts, out of courtesy at least? |

GR can remove living people from any tree if they have not given permission to have their names published on there. |
