I am having trouble with my Hot Matches
I have not had any this year I have been intouch with genes about 6 weeks ago and was told to be paitent as with large trees they were having a problem and they were dealing with this mater however this was about 6 weeks ago and I emailed last week again and have had no reply I woundered if anyone else was having problems

its possible that no one has a match for any of your tree names........???

I was told by GR that they are being much more thorough about the matches so you may only get one or two...I haven't had any for months now and have fairly common names...Black, Smith, etc etc!

I am in the same position as Patricia, I only get the first few letters of the Alphabet matched. In addition I get mulitpule instances of the same person - for example the person listed with the most matches with my tree appears to have the same entries 5 or 6 times.

The whole Hot Match system seems to be pretty useless at the moment - I am in contact with several people who share hundreds of ancestors with me who don't appear at all in the hot matches or only a few of the entries at the start of the alphabet are matched.

Perhaps Genes should tell us all what the problem is by writing about it on the Announcements message board.

I often do that thanks for the advice but I have over a thousand names on my tree so it's very time consuming

I still haven't had any hot matches and have added a load of new rellis

Have just recieved my 1st batch of Hot Matches this year. & it´s only mid May.
Mind you, I haven´t looked at them yet.
Saving that pleasure for later.
