Our vet said that a dog will not starve him/herself.

leave them with the food for 15-20 mins....then take it inside if not eaten.....then try again at the next feed time......It does work.....my dog started to get used to another sort of food but it was making him hyper.....he is now back on the food he started with and is a much happier dog.

Can he have porridge, if so try him. It fills the tum and is as good as mixer except it does not clean the teeth.Elaine.

Oscar tried the vets tinned meat but refused it, all he will eat is boiled chicken, rice and chappie low fat mixer, but today he is leaving the mixer and just eating the chicken and rice

My last dog had to be put on a fat free diet due to diabetes.
I used to buy tins of fat free food from the vets. Very expensive but it smelt delicious!

I wish Oscar thought so, but I just keep thinking, if he is hungry he will eat it.
