trying to find the death of bridget butler nee scanlon/ scanlan, ( always spelt incorrect ) married john butler 1878 11th march in stanningley/ bramley leeds.
looking for the death so i can get her date of birth and trace this back to sligo in ireland, she was born i think around 1837/38 sligo, ireland but beacuse her name and dates of births differ on all the census ,im stuck.
she was definatly dead by 1901 as john was a widower on the census.
can anyone help. she may be buried in leeds area or bradford

You need to trawl through FreeBMD. If her last appearance was in 1891 there is this one - but it's not the only one so do go and have a look:

Mrs Grumpy is right that is the only Bridget Butler in the Deaths on Freebmd for anywhere in Leeds..

Bridget would have been born in 1836 but you would have to buy the death cert for any more info you need as the older death certs don't have the date of birth on them.
