I had a look at this there was a photo of an 1821 envelope, posted in Grenada, addressed to one of my relatives in Scotland - unfortunately they are asking over 700 GBP!! |

GRENADA British West Indies. A very fine two page letter from the Surgeon to the 9th foot Regiment, Grenada Feb 5th, 1822 addressed to Robert Ogle at Elingham, Near Alnwick, Northumberland, England, charged "2/5"d with GRENADA / FEB 5 datestamp to reverse, re-directed on arrival at Alnwick to Newcastle, and recharged "3/-" and signed by William Carr Postmaster of Alnwick, against ALNWICK/310 mileage handstamp, there is a light double ring strike on the front? and another indistinct framed post mark to reverse. |

Just been having a look, can I add if you go on 'Postcards' on Ebay, there are a lot of WW1 postcard/photos of soldiers... it's well worth a look , for eg this one |
