BEEN TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO A FRIEND ABOUT SOME FREE GIFT SCAMS
SO GOT THE T&C FROM ONE,OFFERING A CHANCE TO WIN ITEMS SHE HAD ALREADY THOUGHT IT WAS A GIFT FOR DOING A SURVEY THIS IS T&C

We shudder to think what the result would have been if my grandmother had had the internet!

She never stopped believing in the free lunch. ;)

There was me, writing sharp letters to TV Guide telling them that my grandfather could not have subscribed, because he had been dead these 10 years, and they should stop sending an old lady their nasty collection notices ...

And there was my grandmother, lips sealed (we figured it all out later), to whom a "free trial subscription" was an opportunity never to be missed, even when the offer came in the mail addressed to her deceased husband ...
