this was posted on the ancestry wall a short time ago:-

While on FB, look at your URL address (the very top box on your screen.) If you see "http:" instead of "https:" then you DO NOT have a secure session (no LOCK!) & can be hacked. Go to Account - Account Settings - Account Security - click Change. Tick box "secure browsing", click S...ave. FB automatically sets it on the non-secure setting. Change it and then Copy & Re-post this message to your friends

Thanks Sylvia - just done that now. I hadn't known that. Gosh Facebook is a minefield isnt it - all the things you have to do to make it secure.
