Thanks everyone, I know I know I know!!!!! I have asked her to log out, and she has said she will try!!! which is why I was surprised to hear that she hadn't done in the past!

Anyhow, hopefully that is it. i don't want it to become a big issue.

In fairness to her she probably just never thought of logging out if she's in the habit of dipping in and dipping out. Have to say I never do.

I'm sure if you asked her to so you could gain access then she would...of course....BUT... if you want to terminate the arrangement then as has been said before a change of password is the way forward.

Sounds like she just didn't give it a thought..and now she's aware she probably willl log herself out..but ultimately it's up to you which way you want to jump with this x

It just seems like a small communication problem to me.

Ask her to log out now when she has finished and then you won't be festering and growing it into an issue.

Thank-you for your comments, Sharron and Lady Augusta. At the moment I am logged in permanently, not to keep her out but to ensure I can log in when I want to, which is the point of my membership!

I don't mind her using my membership (although I know it's not allowed) because I don't use it a lot but prefer it to be available when I want it. I know this is a bit expensive.

So by staying logged in permanently at the moment I kind of feel I am keeping my account available for me.

I suppose eventually I will have to terminate this arrangement.

Ask her to log out when she is not using it as this prevents you logging in?

I don't suppose she realized she was keeping you out.She would have to have a brass neckto do it deliberately.

I have a very good friend who runs her local family history group, many hundred of miles from where I live. . She is not on GR.

I gave her my ancestry log in details as I pay annually but don't use it often.

Recently I tried to log in but couldn't as she was logged in. I asked her and she said she never logs out as she uses it a lot!!

So I can log in now but I was a bit shocked. She is a VERY good friend.....Any suggestions pretty please??
