I seem to have several sets of twins in the family according to census ages . How can I verify this as I only find a volume and page number on free BMD and GR.I believe that if I could find the entry numbers also this would probably verify this for me. can anyone tell me how to find these please. many thanks. |

If the district, volume and page numbers are the same for the two names you have found in the census then it is more than likely twins. Not sure what you mean by entry numbers. District, volume and page numbers are all you need. |

Be careful if you are looking at the 1841 Census |

Twins might not necessarily appear on the same page. The names are alphabetical. I have a gt grandfather Edwin who had a twin Emma. They are separated by another person whose name begins with E. If Emma had been Mary or Sally she could easily have appeared on the next page. |
