NEW SPRING LAMBS

When I come home from hospital and get out of the city limits, it is countryside to my home town. Yesterday, whilst driving home, I noticed the new born lambs in the fields. But what suprised me was that there was a couple nestled down together who had little faces that were a mirror image of each other, as in human twins. They were black, with a white marking down the right side of one face and down the left side of the other. I have never seen this before, and was quite mesmerised by it.
Incidently, for anybody that watched Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall on Saturday evening, there were thousands of dandelions in the curb sides, and if I had felt better I would have picked some for the Dandelion Preserve featured on the programme.

There are new lambs very near here. I will take a look and see if I spot any twins like that. I have never noticed any 'mirror' ones, although most local ones don't have black on their faces.

I wage war on stray dandelions most days. There are so many this year.
When I was a child we used to collect them for a neighbour to make wine, but I don't know of anyone using them now.
The Preserve sounds interesting. I'll have a look for the programme. I missed that.

uncle E
had some surprise lambs born at Christmas way to early in the year
but he is very busy up here at the moment lambing
he is rushed off his feet
then he is off on his jollys soon as lambing is finished

i commented to my butler at the week end it must be the year of the dandelion
the roadsides full of them
we might collect some later in the week for strays animals
her tortoise especially loves them

Agh JoyBoroAngel, poor old Big E must be positively worn out. Lambing since Christmas. Glad he is off on his jolly soon, much earned. Wish I was going with him. I would be worn out, mentally that is, with his brain.LOL

Hi just having a baccy break, so you have just caught me.

Piglets Pal, I trust you meant that as a joke LOL

Prickles Babes. It was on the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall programme last Saturday night, so I suppose you can google. They collected a hundred Dandelion heads, but as there is no setting Pectin in them, they made a sort of fruit stock with other fruits, before putting the heads in. Have a go at google. I'm sure it is there.
