	Hi Jacqueline & Spanish Eyes, Try CAIS ( Centre of Archive and Information Studies ) at the University of Dundee. They have short online courses for Family and Local History. Course Content of Beyond the Intenet 1 :- Introduction to key records (B M D's & Census) Church records Wills & testament Paw law records Military Palaeography Course Content of Beyond the internet 2 :- Civil & criminal courts and police force records Education records Church court records Manorial records and estate papers Title deeds, maps and plans Emigration, burgesses and apprentices and printed materials They also do a Masters Degree in Family and Local History. Fees can be a bit pricey but have a look on there web site www.dundee.ac.uk/cais Hope this is helpful LA

	Jacqueline, if you find one please let me know as I also would be interested to do some distance learning. I live in Spain and not in a large place so it is not practical to go to a college etc. Having just retired I feel y=that I would like to keep the brain going so hope you find something.. 19.54 hrs Spain

	Can you join a local history society? They meet monthly and will help and teach a lot. Also if you are near to a Records Office - they often hold one day seminars. And of course there are great teachers all round you on GR!!!
