OK Ann in Glos, I will have a swim in your pool and you can have one in mine. Except that I still cannot swim. Nearly 40 lessons, taught my children to swim, not sure how but they are all strong swimmers.

I could stay at the shallow end with a glass of champers!
Will not do much reading this weekend and next week will choose what to read.

Night, night everyone, happy dreams

Are you still reading? Not a lot else to do is there? Fancy a swim on our patio?

I do not have a Kindle but I do have an iPad which allows me to read from an amazing number of free books as well as purchasing some.
I was concerned when I first read about Kindles etc that the sale of books would diminish. However I read about 3 months ago that in fact the opposite is happening. People are buying the books after they have read on theirPads or Kindles.
I also find reading on my iPad a lot less stressful on my eyes and as my sight is not brilliant that is an added bonus.

I never noticed it rained, I was too busy reading! It's now 1.45 a.m. and I can't sleep so think I will do a bit of ......ummm reading.

It's not raining now so hope tomorrow will be another sunny day for you.

Ann
I can't put it down and it seems to be easier on the eye than a real book.

Shazzlou
Wish it was possible to put the books on to my MP3 for when I am walking.

HI Golden Girl

The value for money on downloaded books plays a big part of my enjoyment of my Kindle. I pay dearly for second hand books here and then I can only have what is available but I do swap them with friends which I won't be able to do with the ebooks

Wendy glad you like the Kindle. Bought my OH one
for his Christmas and like you he thinks its great.
Tried it myself but not for me, old fashioned, like
the feel of a book. Enjoy.

My lovely husband ordered a Kindle 3G from Ama-on for my birthday and it arrived today. I have downloaded my first book and it is brilliant. I have made the text larger so that I don't have to wear my glasses.

For a long time I have been saying 'no I don't want one, I like reading proper books' but on the recommendation of Ann in Glos I changed my mind and already I am glad that I did. Reading in the sun is easy and the price to download a book is about the same price as I pay for a second hand english paperback here.
