can anyone tell me if i can find out whether two children born in 1980/82 have either died or married since then. i have looked on gr but this is a shot in the dark.

i have a family of 7 children. child 1 and 2 have the same names as twins born in 1985 which i think is quite strange. so need to check and see if the earlier children are still alive.
if anyone can help i will pm with the details as some or all of the fam are still living but i am not in contact.

this tree is becoming more of a nightmare than i thought!

It may be that there was a change in family circumstances and the birth registrations were amended.
For example if an unmarried couple had children, then later the couple married each other then their children may be in the index again to reflect this,although there would be only one actual birth certificate per child.

gwyn, sorry havent got back sooner, work kept me away today for longer than normal.
now i understand what you are saying because the marriage took place in 1983 and they were born before that. so with that in mind i think you have solved my puzzle.

it did strike me as extremely odd to have children with identical names, it just wouldnt be normal would it.
