I think what has happened is that the offer for including matching places of birth has considerably cut back the possibles. In earlier debates when people discussed their irritation at being given unlikely matches, several of us agreed that it was going to cause snags, as many entries on registration certificates and censuses can give very varied (and still accurate) place descriptions - parish, suburb, town, county. For example, researching my family in south-east Northumberland the birthplace on registration certificates is usually Tynemouth whereas many of them lived in towns at least 20 miles away

I honestly can't remember the last batch I got.
Mind you I am not really bothered they never match anyway and with a Smith side it takes hours of deleting one at a time....just in case.......because the first time I just get rid without looking you can bet your life...well you know the rest.

Then what really makes me laugh is when Genes send me the one with ........

I had some fresh ones this morning,which were e-mailed to me,first for about a month.

Like Christine, haven´t had any since well before Christmas. Have checked.
Mind you, haven´t made any additions or amendments to my tree on here either, so perhaps that´s the cause.

I dont think GR are notifying us any more. Have you looked through your hot matches? I looked a couple of weeks ago and found there were quite a few new ones, and I hadnt had any notification.
