I do agree Joan. She deliberately set out to murder these poor kids. She told their father to say goodbye to them, basically. As you will see from the news reports, she appears to have been constantly seeking attention. Even a close friend of hers said she would never forgive her and hadn't responded to the accused womans letters asking her to keep in touch. I doubt she will benefit from spending 16yrs behind bars, but these kids had a lot more than 16 years of living to look forward to.
It's their poor family left behind to grieve for them that I feel sorry for

Don't judge all people with mental illnesses on this one case. Very easy to condemn but until you are in that position you will never know how you will react.

If she doesn't have a mental illness then she deserves life but if she was unable to rationalise what she was doing and the decisions she was making then she needs medical help.

It is amazing how many unfortunate children die at the hands of a parent in a separation context. And always diminished responsibility is claimed.
I, for one, do not accept it in circumstances such as this.

It appears to be more of a case 'if I can't have them, you won't' - the child/ren lose out everyway.

Hi all
I think what she got is a joke if thats what those three little mites lifes were worth then its a sad world we live in
She couldnt have been that mentally ill if she had custody of the kids and if she was why didnt her family notice this or the father
If she gets a hard time in prison well its nothing she doesnt deserve

You can have a mental illness and have custody of your children if no-one has noticed that you have it. I for one minute do not support what this woman has done, if she is mentally ill and receives treatment she will surel ysuffer when she recovers her wits. If she is sane then she deserves everything she will get in prison and 16 years doesn't cover one life let alone three.

One in four people have a mental illness during their lifetimes not everyone takes a life but we all suffer from being tarred with the same brush.

I have every sympathy with those suffering from any aspect of mental illness, have seen it amongst my own family. What I cannot accept is that in cases like this the parent always pleads mental illness, they are never sane/spiteful.
