:S

If you have a load of pretty cushions on your bed...as all the tv programmes and glossy mag's show..where on earth do you put them when you go to bed?

lol it's daft but its a question that occurs to me every time i see them :-)

A friend and I were disgussing just that question when looking at beds made up in Dunelm, they all had about four huge decorative pillows on them, we wouldn't have room.

I don't have pretty cushions on my bed but I do have two fat 'Display' ( :D always reminds me of Hayley!) pillows and I enjoy flinging them across the room before I sleep....my last defiant gesture of the day! :D XX

I would do what BC does and fling them on the floor lol.I have no pretty cushions on my bed.I do have a couple on the settee and the dog flings them off when he wants to settle down there rather than his own bed lolol.I can never understand having all these encumbrances on the bed as nobody would see them other than me and OH.Maybe if I was selling the house I might tart it up a bit ;-)

I have no pretty cushion on my bed ..mind come to think of it I have no pretty pillow cases or throws either, if the mutts didn't like them they got scratched to bits and if they did Minx chewed holes in them !

But I often wonder what happens to those extra cushions in show houses maybe they get shoved in the wardrobe until visitors appear :O

Well i don`t know if you`d describe my cushions as pretty,........... 2 cream and 1 Jade coloured....to match the colours in the bedroom....

When we got to bed they end up on the floor under the window, along with the the cuddly Elephant from london Zoo given to me by youngest daughter, A cuddly turtle from Zante { memories of last holiday} and a teddy bear that was a mothers day present...........

And then in the morning i have to put them all back again when i make the bed....when OH does it they usually end up left on the floor...!!

Thank you ladies, i am glad I'm not the only one ...no room on the floor either, usually it's where the books and family tree papers end up ;-)

I have five on the bed and they're placed on the end of my bed leant against the foot board (dunno if that's what it's called) when I'm in bed.

Drives OH mad he can't see the point in them ..but I like them and they tie the colours of my room together a treat X

Put them on the floor so when you need to get out in the middle of the night .........you can trip and break your neck or at least stub your toes!! :D :S

Ooh KG, a sofa in the bedroom - that's posh. Or is it a chaise longue for your afternoon nap lol

Me? I chuck 'em on the floor with gay abandon, which is going to happen very soon :D

Edit - Plus all my accoutrements and 'im inbed' (if he snores!)

I have 3 on our bed. OH doesnt like them but I got them to match the deco. I put them on the floor when I go to bed and back on the bed when I have made it up again in the morning. I suppose it is a bit pointless but it does look nice.

KG. You sound very posh if I may say so. I would love to get up and have my morning coffee looking out on the balcony .

Never mind, breakfast bar it is.lol xx :-) :-)

I have cushiones on our bed, but they all have pillow covers which I can take off when I have to launder the bedding. We are very fortunate in so far as we have a door from the bedroom to a large room which has windows all around three sides of the room.. This part of ower house is at the top level so I can sit in there and have my morning coffee and this is where the cushions etc are put when the bed is in use.
We can pull a shutter down and during the day we can use this extra room for TV, Music , chat and of course it is where the drinks cupboard is as well, Also a great rroom for dancing and entertaining....

OK I am off to bed know and OH will have put he cushiions on the floor so I will have to pick them up..

I have loads of cushions as I collect the 3D ones and when I go to bed I throw them on the floor and every morning I say I wish I hadn't got them as I have to put them all back

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 8 May 2011 23:59

Cushions are OK to 'dress' a bed if the bedroom has another function during the day. But otherwise? Once we've got dressed, we don't go in there again until it's bed time!
As a guest in someones house, they were a right pain, especially as there was our suitcase to trip over in the middle of the night anyway.

Annina Report 9 May 2011 12:17

Like most folk,mine end up on the floor,but I have often thought that I would look out for an antique baby basket to throw them in,or a wickerwork cot on legs.

When we were small,mum aquired one,and had it hidden behind the sofa,she used to throw everything in there to tidy up,we always knew where to find our clutter,or renegade ironing waiting to get done.
