If you have a female relative listed under her maiden name in your tree, you can attach her birth record and also her marriage record, but once she is married and her death record is listed under her married name GR will not recognise her in your tree and will not let you add it? Can anyone offer and suggestions?

Just enter her date of death on what is her birth name. It should be easy enough to work out what she was called when she died.-jl

Yes I have all the info, I have her birth record and GR will let me add to my tree, that record. I have her marriage record and can attach that. The problem arises when I have found her death record but as no such(married name) person exists in my tree (because she is listed under her maiden name), GR will not let me attach that death record to view in my tree, which is what I am trying to do.

Unless someone has a better suggestion - just type the dates & place in yourself, and add the source, i.e. Free BMD or whoever in the notes, preferably adding the registration reference if you have got it

After clicking on attach record a message comes up to say there is no person
in your tree by that name, just type the name that you do have in your tree in the box that says relation finder. and it will come up with the person you want to attach the record to.

You dont need to find her under her married name .if you have added her spouse it will show anyway. You put her death under her existing entry ie her box thats attached to her parents which shows her date of birth .it will show a box to the side for her hubby.
On a printout it would show parents, children names ,and for each child. when they were born, when married ,and when died .

On any Family Tree Program a female is followed through on her maiden name
