Well I am glad it is not just me as I'd think it was my pc or mouse or something but there are enough of us to see that there is some sort of problem. And the way GR support explained to do it is not the way it should work. I can do it that way, hold the cursor on the box, and keep it there then drag it down the box. you should be able to click the box to open it and then click on whichever board you want.

That is how I have been doing it Linda, but prior to the recent changes (which I am not knocking because I like them) I didn't have to do that. I have Firefox.

I got exactly the same reply and I have testED it and it doesn't work. It may work for the browser they are using, but it certainly doesn't work for my version of Firefox.

I have discovered that if I left click on "Messages" and hold the mouse button down, I can then drag the word "messages" down the list which stays open as long as I am holding the left mouse button down. If I hover over sent messages, or what ever I want to open, let go and quickly click, I can get into the messages

What a palaver, you would think that such a basic function of a professional website would actually work. I don't have any problem with any other website,so the problem is in GR, not my computer

This is the reply I got and it suggests the same way that Kemp said she was doing. It was not like this before the change.

Thanks for your email

"I suggest that when you hover your mouse over the Community tab that you wait for the list to appear and then staying on the list with your mouse you then move down the list and choose the option you require.

I have test this and it does work."

I wonder if it is something to do with the way your browser is set up? Otherwise, everyone would have the same problem, which isn't the case.

InspectorGreenPen Report 10 May 2011 10:28

For me, the dropdown menu stays open for as long as I keep the mouse pointer within its borders, or click on an option.

Is the problem with all the drop down menus or just certain ones? (Home and HotMatches don't have dropdowns, but all the others do)

I have just sent them a message about the problem, but it took me ages to be able to hit the "contact us" under the help menu. I have the same problem with all the drop down menus.
I also never see that I have a message until I get the email notification

Yes just had a problem again with the community box and the message box. If you are in messages Dizzi the left hand side is not an option. I have to get messages from my e mail notifier or I'd never get them. The box just won't hold long enough to click on what you want. I shall have to contact GR.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 May 2011 10:03

It is getting into the messages which causes me problems as they are not an option on the left hand side, I have just been trying now and have given up. I don't see any indication that I have a message ever. I have to wait until I get an email telling me I have a message before I know there is one there

In fact I think I will contact GR about the problem, now I know I am not the only one it is affecting

YorkshireCaz

YorkshireCaz Report 10 May 2011 09:57

Not with community but with messages it doesn't hold long enough to click on, I just click on where it was and usually inbox comes up.
