how do i find birth certificates?

Lauren when you have that certificate you will have
His mums name
his dad names
his date of birth
place of birth
and his mum maiden name which will then help find her family BUT you need her marriage certificate which we MAY be able to help you with .....but this thread would be better placed on genealogy chat....dont worry this time as people dont mind first time ...
NOW also your grandads name will possible be on your mums or dads birth or marriage certificate can you get them from your mum or dad

well ive been looking for my grandad and all i no is his name is alan c cresswell and his mothers maiden name raines and i believe her fore name is margrete and his fathers last name is cresswell but i have no idea what his first name is

you get the numbers then send for the certificate through GRO it will cost about £10.00

If you give the names we could find the numbers for you

ive found the birth cert but it only says mothers maiden name! how do i get mothers and fathers forename and surname and poss d.o.b's

you need to look up ( or ask someone to look up) the births, then send for certs
